Feedback

Thunder FC Wants to Hear From You!

As FC Thunder continues to grow it is increasingly important that we have open "gates of communication" between the Board of Directors and parents.  Please email or call any member of the Board should you want to communicate positive feedback or identify areas for improvement.  This communication flow will provide parents the platform necessary to ensure all voices are heard regarding any aspect of our soccer club.

Important: all communication will be addressed by the Board and, if requested, will be treated as confidiential.

Complaints, Grievances, or Protests

Complaints are required to be provided, in written format, to the FC Thunder President and/or Executive Vice-President (click here for contact information) who will evaluate the basis of the complaint in an effort to determine appropriate action.

FC Thunder shall comply with AAYSA and STYSA policies and procedures with regard to grievances and protests; see FC Thunder By-Laws for details. FC Thunders uses the STYSA Discipline and Protest Procedures and the AAYSA D&P Committee. These procedures may be found on the STYSA website at www.stxsoccer.org. It is highly recommended the originator of the protest discuss the matter with a member of the FC Thunder BOD prior to filing the protest.

Referees

Referee-specific issues or concerns regarding referees may communicated to the Referee Assignor (or Senior Referee) on-duty. Thereafter, issues or concerns may be communicated to the age-group Commissioner.

Coaches  & The '24 Hour Rule'

FC Thunder enforces the ‘24 Hour Rule’ which requires 24 hours to elapse before parents are allowed to communicate with the coach/trainer to address issues or concerns. The Rule was established to allow emotions to settle for one day before issues are communicated with the coach/trainer via phone, email, or during a meeting.

Soccer-specific issues (ie, those regarding practice sessions, games or coaching) should be communicated to the coach/trainer (not the Team Manager). Thereafter, issues may be escalated to the Age-Group Commissioner and/or Director of Coaching.
