Ben Loney

Ben Loney

Ben was born and raised in Bournemouth, England, where he enjoyed a successful career on the field before serving in the British Army, before moving the U.S. in 2005. Ben’s coaching career began in the U.S. with Challenger Sports coaching camps, coaching high school, and in club soccer programs across the mid-west and east coast.  

Ben moved to San Antonio in 2006 to finish out a fall season with Alamo Heights Fire Soccer Club, where he then stayed for 2 years. After marrying his wife, Jen, in 2008, Ben moved to New Braunfels Ajax as the Academy Director/Assistant Director of Coaching, before being offered the role of Director of Coaching at Boerne Soccer Club in 2014. In 2017 Ben was offered a role as Director of Boys ECNL at Classics Elite, where in his first full year he won a National Championship with the U17 (2001) Boys. In 2019 Ben moved to SA United, where he became the Girls Director of coaching for Sting San Antonio, before returning to Boerne Soccer Club in 2022.

Ben is an USSF A License holder and resides in Bulverde with his wife, Jen, and daughters Emelia and Elliott.
