Jeremy K. Rush, MD FAAP is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with Sports Medicine Associates of San Antonio, and is the only orthopedic surgeon in the San Antonio area who is dual-fellowship trained in pediatric orthopedic surgery and orthopedic sports medicine. Dr. Rush currently serves as a team physician for US Soccer, as well as the San Antonio Spurs, San Antonio FC, and several local high schools.

Dr. Rush graduated from Texas A&M University with a BA in Biology and then attended the Texas A&M University System College of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Brooke Army Medical Center and a subsequent pediatric orthopaedic fellowship at the Campbell Clinic / University of Tennessee in Memphis, Tenn. He also completed an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at the University of Virginia. In Charlottesville, Dr. Rush cared for collegiate athletes, including the 2019 Men’s Basketball and Lacrosse National Championship teams.

Following his initial training, Dr. Rush served as an orthopedic surgeon in the United States Army. During his 12 years on active duty, he served as Chief of Pediatric Orthopaedics at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Rush currently resides in San Antonio with his wife, three children, and two English springer spaniels. In his spare time, he enjoys fly-fishing, CrossFit, watching Aggie football, and staying active with his family. As a father of three young athletes, Dr. Rush understands the challenges these families often face. His focus is not only on treating injuries and getting young athletes back onto the field or court, but also preventing future problems.
