Boerne Soccer Club is excited to congratulate Reagan Burkey on her plans to continue her soccer career at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS) in the Fall of 2024. Reagan signed her National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play for the Mountain Lions in a celebration at Champion High School on November 8, 2023. At UCCS, Reagan will pursue a nursing degree with the career goal to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.

Reagan first played with Boerne Soccer Club as a U5 Recreational player and progressed through the Recreational, Academy, and Select programs. In the Select program, Reagan has been a key player for the BSC 2005 Girls team that progressed through the WDDOA Alpha, Challenger, and Prime leagues to have earned and retained a spot in the Frontier Conference (South Texas, North Texas, Oklahoma) of the US Youth Soccer National League. Reagan was a member of the 05G squad that finished runners-up at the 2021 State Cup Finals in the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series, marking the farthest a Boerne Soccer Club team had progressed in the State Cup Competition.

Reagan, and a few of her 05G teammates, have coached U5 and U7/U8 teams for several seasons in the BSC Recreational league. Reagan even served as the referee of several Recreational games!

Reagan is also a 3-year varsity soccer player at Champion High School and progressed with the CHS team to the 5A State semi-final match in 2022 and to the Regional Quarterfinal match in 2023. Reagan runs varsity track at Champion High School and primarily competes in the 200m, 400m, and relays.

As Reagan's time with the Boerne Soccer Club comes to a close, we are incredibly proud of her achievements and excited to see the next chapter of her soccer journey. Congratulations, Reagan, and best of luck!
