We are delighted to welcome the newest addition to our Boerne FC Thunder coaching staff, Ben Killingsworth.
Ben will be joining FC Thunder at the end of May. He is currently completing his obligations as staff coach at LA Galaxy, where he is a coach in the Galaxy’s Elite Development program.
Raised in Hull, England, Ben started as a full-time professional coach in the UK with Hull City Tigers Sport & Education Trust, following a playing career at the semi-pro level. Having earned his FA coaching qualifications in England, Ben moved to the U.S. where he has since earned USSF coaching licenses and will also graduate this June following his enrollment on a BSc Hons Sports Coaching Science Degree.
‘I am very excited to be joining Boerne FC Thunder and am thankful for this opportunity to be a part of the clubs’ bright future. I look forward to meeting the staff, players and parents and can’t wait to get to work with the coaches and directors on ways in which we can take the program to the next level this coming season.’ – Ben Killingsworth.
“It is great news that we have been able to add Ben to our coaching team at FC Thunder. His passion, energy and talent for developing boys and girls of all abilities will be a huge asset. It is truly an exciting time for our club to bring in three exceptional coaches in recent weeks, as we continue to develop a quality coaching environment for our players. Ben joins Coach Nick Morrison, Schreiner University Women’s Head Coach, and Coach Casey Collins, Schreiner University Men’s Head Coach, as our newest FC Thunder staff for the 2018/2019 season.” – FC Thunder DOC, Wayne Bartlett.
