Level of Play

Division III
Recreational level of play. These teams do not hold tryouts. 
 
Division II (Competitive or Select; U11 – U19)
Considered a competitive level of play. These teams will play intra association through AAYSA. These teams hold tryouts and select their players.

Division SII (Alpha,  U11 – U19)
A more competitive level of competition than Division II, tryouts are held to select players. Teams must qualify for this level of play according to their District requirements and play a District-wide schedule. League play for these teams is administered through the Western District Division One Association (WDDOA).
 
Division SII (Challenger; U11 – U19) 
A step up from Challenger. Teams must gain promotion from the Alpha league in order to qualify for Challenger, by finishing in the top 2 places at the end of the season. League play for these teams is administered through the Western District Division One Association (WDDOA).

Division I (Prime; U11 – U19)
The third highest level of competition, these teams are generally comprised of the top players within the regional association. Tryouts are held with skilled players selected for this level of play. Teams must qualify according to their District requirements and play a District-wide schedule. League play for these teams is administered through the Western District Division One Association (WDDOA).

STYSA State Classic League (SCL; U13 – U19) (Highly Competitive) This league is a fully sanctioned US Youth Soccer and South Texas Youth Soccer Association competitive league. SCL will provide an opportunity for the most competitive play possible for qualified teams within South Texas Youth Soccer Association to aid in the development of the competitive youth soccer player.

Frontier (U13 – U19) National League Frontier Conference (Frontier) is the most competitive league within Southern Region. The league will be comprised of both boys and girls teams in the U13-U19 age groups and includes 4 teams from each State Association (STX, NTX, and OK), comprising a 12 team league in each age group/gender.
