BSC tryouts provide a comprehensive process for players to perform in sessions that focus on various areas throughout the week. This approach offers a unique opportunity for players to showcase their skills, learn from the BSC staff, and to allow for identifying the correct environments and levels of play for the players for the new select season.
For players that are U11 and older (for the 2025-26 season, this will be the 2015 birth year and older), our competitive program is called Select.
Our core values of loyalty, honesty, and positivity impact every training session and game that we coach.
BSC Select players are coached by our dedicated, nationally licensed team of coaches. We are very proud to have college coaches, high school coaches, and Olympic Development Program (ODP) coaches on staff to oversee the development of the players.
Players are coached to a club curriculum in accordance with the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). This curriculum is designed and implemented to nurture the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of a player within a team environment while fostering a love for the game.
Our aim is to develop players' technical ability and nurture strong fundamentals while being capable of making decisions independently for success in individual, group, and team situations on the soccer field. We want BSC teams to play exciting soccer and our coaches, players, and parents to hold themselves to the highest standards.
Our focus is on the development of the player and person. Success, in terms of results, is a byproduct of effective development and a positive coaching environment.

Director of Select
A unique element to being a select player at Boerne Soccer Club is the opportunity for all select players to become a coach in our recreational program as soon as they have reached high school. We have had so many BSC players take advantage of this opportunity and the chance to teach soccer and learn from their own coaches. This has seen wonderful opportunities to develop character and life skills for the select players, but, most importantly, it has served our younger recreational players with a younger role model to aid in their love of soccer through their energy and enthusiasm for the game.
